Viagra and its Side Effects
As with most prescription medications, side effects may occur.
Viagra may produce the following side effects: headache, flushing, stomach upset, nasal stuffiness, diarrhoea and dizziness might occur.
It may also causes changes in colour vision, sometimes in the rare occurrence of painful, prolonged erections in a small percentage of cases.
Seek prompt medical attention if erection lasts longer than four hours.
Do not take Viagra if you are taking Nitrates
You should not take Viagra if you are taking drugs, which contain nitrates such as nitroglycerin (commonly used for chest pains because of heart disease ).
Taking Viagra with any nitrate medicine can cause your blood pressure to suddenly drop to an unsafe or life-threatening level. You could get dizzy, faint or even have a heart attack or stroke.
Nitrates also found in illegally inhaled drugs (including amyl nitrate, nitrite or "poppers," and others) have the same effect when combined with Viagra.
Speak to your Doctor first if you are having blood pressure problems
If you are taking alpha-blocker therapy for the treatment of high blood pressure or prostate problems, you should not take a dose greater than 25 mg of Viagra at the same time (within 4 hours) as you take your dose of alpha-blocker.
If you are taking a protease inhibitor, your dose may be adjusted by your Doctor. It should not be used with any other medical treatments that cause erections.
Always take Genuine Viagra and do not buy generic
Only take genuine branded Pfizer Viagra, as anything else may be dangerous. Keep Viagra out of the reach of children. Keep Viagra in its original container. Store at 25°C (77°F).
